GEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZ!!!!!
It's about TIME these guys got some recognition for their great tunes! I'm 42 & have been listening for 30 YEARS!!! "Still I'm Sad" has to be one of the best tracks ever & sooooooo far ahead of its time. Too bad todays music is a bunch of crap!!!T he Yardbirds will ALWAYS live on...at least in spirit & in my heart!!!!

Can you tell me where I can find that recording of that old Yardbirds live album?
I actually have in storage a box set of three 33rpm records containing the Yardbirds Live at the Shrine Exposition Hall (LA, CA)and the at the Swing Auditorium (San Bernadino, CA). It had special signifigance for me because I was 16 at the time and I had a little biz selling vintage guitars to musicians....That night at the Shrine, I sold Jimmy Page a powder blue, 1952 telecaster for $300.00 - which was equal to a mortgage payment back in those days ! ! ! Can you help me find that recording?

I had the distinction and honor of being in a band, The Stuart Avery Assemblage, that opened for the Yardbirds in May of 1968 on their farewell tour, at Detroit's Grande Ballroom. I remember sharing the small backstage area with them and all of us talking about the Detroit rock scene back then, which they were quite enamored of. There is a famous poster of the event and can be found by going to various websites devoted to Detroit rock of the '60s. Rock on Yardbirds! ---John Orlich

we saw the band in charlotte and WOW! they RULED the show. y'all were the band we came to see, and we got there nice and early and danced like fools. what a GREAT time, what passionate, agressive music, as vital as any young garage band out there! congratulations and come headline a club here sometime. (we were the people in the aisle behind the board going wild, by the way)
